Mission Statement

The NAN Project works to promote mental health awareness and suicide prevention programs for young people, using a peer-to-peer model.

The NAN Project advocates for:

  • acknowledging that mental illness is a very serious problem;

  • accepting mental health challenges as illnesses of the brain, similar to physical ailments, which can be treated;

  • providing access to treatment for all families and their children.

The NAN Project is the vehicle that delivers the education, prevention and intervention strategies to school staff, parents and their children using a safe and supportive school-based, peer-to-peer model.
