The NAN Project and TASK YWCA Malden
Kylee, one of our peer mentors has been working with the TASK YWCA Malden to raise awareness in the community about gun violence, mental health, and suicide prevention. Kylee was asked to speak as a mental health and suicide prevention expert panel member at a Town Hall meeting in Malden last Thursday night. Kylee spoke on the warning signs of youth in mental health crisis, and suicide by gun prevention.
They also spoke on how the excess glorification of guns in America through media like violent video games, and movies hurts today’s youth. On the panel as well was Congresswoman Clark who spoke about the importance of the job of our elected government officials to create strict gun laws, and control gun laws. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the panel!
